Our Opening Keynote will be provided by Ms. RaDonda Vaught who was the subject of one of the highest profile healthcare criminal cases in recent years. While working as a registered nurse in the busy neurological intensive care unit at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Mrs. Vaught made a fatal medication error, which resulted in criminal convictions and the loss of her nursing license. Mrs. Vaught is uniquely qualified to speak firsthand on the impact this sentinel significant event has had on her life and her profession, along with the ensuing implications of the legal actions that followed. A passionate advocate for patient safety and systems improvement, her story will be one that is not easily forgotten.

This program has been approved by the Florida Board of Nursing for 2 hours of Medical Error CE, 2 Hours of Legal Aspects of Nursing CE and 5 Hours of General CE.
This meeting has been approved for a total of 9.0 contact hours of Continuing Education Credit toward fulfillment of the requirements of ASHRM designations of FASHRM (Fellow) and DFASHRM (Distinguished Fellow) and towards CPHRM renewal.
This program will provide CPPS, CPHQ, CASC and CMPE Renewal Credits.
